Vehicle couplings (EDBRO & DIN74254 / DIN 74342)

Couplings/coupling heads for dual-circuit compressed air brake systems are standardized according to DIN 74254 and can be combined with other manufacturers as desired. A distinction is made between coupling heads with and without valves. Coupling heads with valves are used on the tractor and prevent air from escaping through the coupling after uncoupling. Couplings without valves are used on the trailer. The different brake circuits are distinguished by the yellow or red cover cap. The screw couplings built according to EDBRO dimensions are used as inexpensive hydraulic couplings for vehicle hydraulics and are widely used in the vehicle industry.
