Storz couplings (fire department couplings)

Storz couplings are often also referred to as fire brigade couplings. They are symmetrical, non-locking couplings. The couplings are connected by inserting the lug parts into one another and then twisting them against each other. The rotatable lug parts make them easy to couple and the seals are protected because the seals do not have to be twisted against each other. The couplings are often also referred to as D couplings (lug spacing 31 mm), C couplings (lug spacing 66 mm), B couplings (lug spacing 89 mm) or A couplings (lug spacing 133 mm) . Unlike many Asian products, our aluminum couplings are forged and not cast for reasons of strength.
